I don’t typically write reviews. But Discount Mechanical has been so fabulous to work with, I would feel guilty if I didn’t give a much deserved applause! I have an older home that has had 3 separate plumbing or heating issues recently. Each service man that came has been professional and helpful! They went above and beyond to explain the needed service/repair and were able to complete the work same day. AND the schedulers/staff on the phone lines have been responsive and courteous.
Very satisfied with their service. Scott was a huge help in explaining what needed to be done to upgrade the unit. He even took time to FaceTime me to guide me through the internals of the unit and to look at the furnace and better explain what would be performed. Installation was very timely and with a good quality end result. Will use them again in the future and highly recommend.
Heater went out over the weekend, their on call staff let us know they would call back on Monday to book an appointment, called back as promised made an appointment for Wednesday. Jim (did a fantastic job) came out to our house promptly diagnosed the problem heat is working flawlessly again. If you have ever tried to get anyone to quickly come out to your home and make repairs in Anchorage? You know how hard it can be to get anyone to do anything. Woke up on a 10° Sunday morning to a cold house and a broken boiler! Kirk showed up within an hour and quickly solved my issue AND had the right parts to fix my old boiler. Kirk is incredibly competent and friendly. He showed us how the system works, walked through the repair with us, and now my house is warm and I am much more informed on the workings of my boiler. We smelled natural gas in our mechanical room, hurried to turn off the gas, and called right away. They sent out a repair man two days later. He was super curious, prompt, and knowledgeable. Not to mention very friendly. He found the issue quickly and fixed it on the spot. So thankful for the great service and prompt attention!
